Rachel Sharp

Rachel Sharp is a regulatory ecotoxicologist with 22 years’ experience working at EFSA and the UK pesticides authority. She has worked on a range of pesticide risk assessments and has been involved in several key EFSA projects, including coordinating the update of the Guidance Document for assessing risks to birds and mammals. More recently, Rachel has been involved in EFSA’s work on assessing indirect effects of pesticides through trophic interactions. She has experience across a range of pesticide product types, including products considered to pose lower risks than conventional pesticides. Her work focuses on practical approaches to environmental risk assessment and how these can be applied for regulatory decision-making.
