David Nuyttens

David Nuyttens is a senior researcher at ILVO (Flanders Research Institute for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Belgium) specializing in precision agriculture, smart farming and plant protection technologies. His work focuses on the development, evaluation, and implementation of innovative technologies for crop protection, including precision spraying, spray drift mitigation, sensor-based technologies, robotics, and unmanned aerial systems. David is actively involved in national and European research and innovation projects that support the digital transformation of agriculture. He plays a leading role in the Living Lab Agrifood Technology and contributes to AgrifoodTEF (Testing and Experimentation Facility for Agri-Food Innovation), helping bridge cutting-edge technological developments with practical on-farm implementation. He has authored numerous scientific publications and technical reports and regularly contributes to international expert groups and conferences. As a member of the IUPAC 2027 Scientific Committee, he brings expertise in precision crop protection, smart farming and plant protection technologies and innovative agricultural technologies.
